Student Leadership Academy

I would like to personally welcome all parents, guardians and students to The Student Leadership Academy of Venice.  Thank you for choosing our school for your child’s middle school education.  SLA has served the communities of Sarasota and Charlotte counties since 2004. More than 2,000 students have successfully graduated from the school.

In 2011, SLA was named a “High Performing Charter School” by the Florida Department of Education.  We have consistently been rated an “A” school.  I am proud of our program and the academic gains our students have made.  This accomplishment is possible thanks to the collaborative effort of all of our stakeholders – from our parents, teachers, staff, and students to the incredible support we have received from the community and the Sarasota County School District.

The Student Leadership Academy’s mission is to provide our students with a safe, community-based academic and social environment, that promotes SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP and SERVICE, which will ultimately prepare all of our students to lead successful and productive lives.
